NUTR 2150 - Introduction to Nutritional and Food Sciences F (3-0) [0.50]

This interdisciplinary course provides an introduction to the Food and Nutritional Sciences from both historical and modern perspectives. Major themes are the nutritional and functional properties of food, nutrient assimilation, food preservation and safety, and the interactions between food processing, diets and health. The course is taught by the Department of Food Science. (Also listed as FOOD*2150.)

this is a fairly difficult course. i always attended the lectures, and did all the practice questions, yet still did poorly on the quizzes. the final saved my mark since many of the questions are similar to what was seen on the quizzes. not really recommended.

dont take this unless you have to. Very boring and loads of info you need to memorize, so i dont recommend it as a bird course. There are three " quizzes" which are all composed of long answers, and question are worth like 6 marks each and theres 4 pages worth. their pretty hard to get a good mark on, class average was always around 60s.
