- great course - you appreciate the human body a lot more after - what makes it hard is the amount of content - conceptually isnt that bad, just read the textbook if you dont get it - find old miterms and study the shit out of them

This is by far the hardest course I've ever taken but also the most worthwhile. It is 1.25 credits for a reason, as said above. It is a LOT of work. You literally have to memorize every single thing on every single page and be able to understand how altering those processes would affect the body. The text book is extremely helpful with explaining the concepts.. and the helprooms and office hours are extensive and very good as well. The best piece of advice I can give you is to WRITE THE OPTIONAL MIDTERMS! It might be easy to not write them becasue they are optional, but if you do write them and you do okay, if you happen to fail the exam (which without writing the optional midterms is worth 70%) it could make the difference between passing and failing a 1.25 credit course. Which would really suck. Plus, if you write the first two, by the third midterm (which is mandatory) you really know what she expects and you know what your weak points are when writing her midterms, so you'll likely do well on the third one. It's so worth it to write the first two midterms!!! It's a hard class, but it's extremely interesting! So worthwhile, but you have to work HARD and earn your mark.

The rumours are true, this class is HARD. You really need to review your notes daily and memorize every single process, and also UNDERSTAND how it works. You have to be intuitive and good at explaining and remember every single thing about each process or cell or whatever. There is a reason it's worth 1.25 credits... hardest course I've ever taken but it's interesting!

This course is a really good foundation for later courses. But you really have to commit to it... it's given 1.25 credits for a reason.

This course is a lot of work, but the material is covered in most of my fourth year courses. Its a great knowledge base to work from for other courses! Take this course

Awful class. Hated the professor. Hard to keep on top of the workload when you have a full class schedule. Unless you have to take it, give this class a wide berth.

Prof is really funny and great at explaining big concepts. Write all the optional midterms - you will probably do badly on the first but it will teach you how to write the next! You can do really well if you show up in all lectures and study smart.
