Comment :
The professor was kind of mean in the end of the semester. Otherwise he was jolly during the semester. The final was really tough. If you really want to learn Deutsch then only take this course otherwise I would tell you to take Spanish.

Great beginners course for learning a new language. Keep up with the weekly homework and attend seminars and you will do fine. Very helpful TA's, the ones I had were on exchange from universities in Germany so it was a good experience to learn German from someone whose first language is German. Also thrown in with the language is bits of cultural information.

Excellent beginning for a new language, but be prepared to have regular homework (which, if you keep up with it, is rather easy).

Go into it with an open mind. I really enjoyed this course. We got homework weekly and I found that it really helpful in the end(even though it can be a pain sometimes). Be sure to practice and review REGULARLY!
