Laura Brown is the WORST! Most boring woman alive. Somehow made natural disasters extremely dull. Best of luck.

Class isn't difficult, BUT, Laura Brown is as dull and generic as her name. Lecture slowly sucks out your soul.

One of my worst experiences. Classses were late at night and long, prof was dull, information was dry. Online quizzes are usually questions that can be googled. I went to classes, payed attention and did all the assigned readings and this was still my worst mark. On the midterm and final there is an essay question and 3 long answers and a few short answers. Take it if you love to write.

some weeks were interesting others not so much (like anything i guess). There are lots of pictures in the text and slide to keep you stimulated though- especially since they are natural disasters. No research papers, make sure you go to class, especially the one right before the exam. The review is basically the questions that will be given

I had this as a night class with Prof Brown. As a professor, I found she does not give too much guidance or feedback to students; she is not easy to listen to sometimes. It is a shame since I really enjoyed the material we learned and read about!
