Comment :
Don't be fooled; even students who know metabolism in animals well might still find this class challenging! Strong background in biochemistry is advised, the pre req is I believe BIOC 2580 but I found it very helpful to have taken BIOC 3560 prior to this course. The prof writes things on the board that are not in the slides, so you really need to be in class to do well. The structure of the course is well-designed, and the prof is nice and noticeably passionate about the material. He is also a bit on the easy side of marking, and will award bonus marks based on overall class results (if nobody answers a question correctly he may just give everyone the mark). Overall it's a challenging course, and those who do not enjoy/struggle in biochemistry and cell biology probably should not take this course.
